Voting has started across various polling stations in the Ayawaso West-Wuogon constituency.
The election is to elect a new Member of Parliament for the constituency following the death of the MP, Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko on November 21, 2018.
According to reports reaching UniversNews, there is high security presence at the various polling stations and voters are coming up in their numbers to cast their ballot although the current numbers are not encouraging.
Over 80,000 voters are expected to partake in today’s voting.
Contesting for the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat are Delali Kwasi Brempong of the National Democratic Congress, Progressive Peoples Party’s William Doworkpor, Clement Boadi of the Liberal Party of Ghana and one of the widows of Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko, Madam Lydia S. Alhassan who is running on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party.
