As part of measures to commemorate its 75 years of existence, the United Nations Ghana in collaboration with the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection is holding a panel discussion to discuss pertinent issues affecting the world.
These include the climate crisis, inequality, new forms of conflict and violence, and the rapid changes in demography as well as digital technologies.
The 75th anniversary comes at a time of great disruption for the world, compounded by an unprecedented global health crisis with severe economic and social impacts.
The theme for this year’s celebration is “Shaping the Future Together-Ghana and the United Nations”.
The meeting will be held at the Accra International Conference Centre with Keynote speakers such as A Representative of the Ghana United Nations Students Association (GUNSA) , Mr. Marcus Garvey Amanatey; Co-Chair of Ghana CSOs plateform on SDGs and Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition, Beauty Emefa Narteh and Expert Member of the United Nations on the Rights of Children with Disabilities, Mrs. Getrude Oforiwa Fefoame.
