The leadership of the University of Ghana Parliament House has announced that it has opened nominations for its 17th Parliament.
A Press release signed by the 1st Deputy Speaker of the House, Hon. Asante Kwasi Darkwah on Monday January 25, 2021 welcomed all interested persons who wished to join the University of Ghana Parliament House.
Interest persons are therefore entreated to pick a form online at a cost of GHS 20 and pay via mobile money.
University of Ghana Parliament House (UGPH)
University of Ghana Parliament House (UGPH) is the first tertiary parliament established in Ghana.
Its aim is to uphold the practice of Democracy from below.
UGPH seeks to promote understanding and appreciation of the system of governance among university students leading to the consolidation of Ghana’s democracy.
It was established to educate and students on their constitutional rights and responsibilities, and to further strive to induce the spirit of patriotism and a sense of national pride.
UGPH provides an interactive platform for the discussion of government policies, especially those, directly and indirectly, affecting students and youth, thereby making informed contributions to these policies.
It serves as agents of change in society and instills in its members the culture of democratic leadership engagement.
