However, these books were at prices that some students might not be able to afford.

On his return to the United States he had discussions with his colleague engineers including, Professor Kwadwo Osseo-Asare, a Materials Science Engineer, Dr. Kwaku K. Koram, a Mechanical Engineer and Dr. Victor Atiemo-Obeng, a Chemical Engineer who contributed funds towards the purchase of selected Engineering books that would be kept in the School Library for the benefit of students and for lecturers to have access and incorporate into the teaching, learning and research process.

The reference materials, seventy (70) pieces in all, have been presented to the School at a brief ceremony.  The Provost of the College of Basic and Applied Sciences of the University of Ghana, Professor Daniel K. Asiedu, received the books on behalf of the School.

In his remarks he thanked the donors for the good gesture and requested for more of such support should the need arise.

The Dean of the School of Engineering Sciences, Professor Boateng Onwona-Agyeman, also thanked the donors and assured them that the books would be put to good use.

Professor Osseo-Asare, who delivered the books on behalf of his colleagues, promised the School more books.

He urged faculty to take advantage of such gestures and request for assistance from colleagues in the diaspora who are willing and ever ready to help the School and the University in diverse ways.
