The International Movement of Catholic Students (IMCS) Pax Romana, University of Ghana local, has held a memorial mass for its former and late president, Pamela Sung-Bawiera Suglo.
The service was held at the St. Thomas Acquinas Catholic Church, located on the campus of the university, where Pamela was a member.
Speaking at the memorial, Presiding students’ Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Abeiku Apprey, described Pamela Suglo as a little Saint and said that memories of her made him remember St. Theresa.
“When I think of Pamela’s life and how brief it was, I can think of one saint, St Theresa”
Rev. Fr. Apprey further urged the congregation to continue in prayer for Pamela.
He also encouraged those who may have had spiritual experiences with her to share their testimonies as it may one day lead to her canonization
“We all lived with her and we knew the kind of person she was. We can begin to write our experience with her and who knows this may one day lead to her canonization” expressed the Chaplain.
Pamela Suglo until her death in 2018, was a level 400 Consumer Science student and the local President of the University of Ghana Catholic Church.
She reportedly passed on after suffering a strange bacteria infection in her ear which gradually affected her brain.
