Management of the University of Ghana has visited former President Jerry John Rawlings to express their “deep condolences” to the family on the loss of the former President’s mother, Victoria Agbotui.
A number of high-profile personalities including the Chancellor, Mrs. Mary Chinery-Hesse, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ebenezer Oduro Owusu, and other officials from the University of Ghana paid the courtesy call Wednesday afternoon to console the family.

Madam Victoria Agbotui passed away a few days ago aged 101.
The funeral of the mother of former President Rawlings will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2020, with a non-denominational service at the Forecourt of the State House, after which the body will be conveyed to Dzelukope for interment.
Stool Father of the Anlo State, Ambassador Dan Abodakpi, who is also the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee of the funeral, announced this when President Akufo-Addo paid a visit to the family house in Accra to commiserate with the former President on the death of his Mother.
