The Dabala District Court has remanded five suspects alleged to be involved in the murder of the Assembly man for the Sogakope South Electoral Area, Marcus Mawutor Adzahli, into prison custody.
The five include 34-year-old, Vicent Adjei, who is believed to be the ring leader in carrying out the killing.
The others are Bright Awuya, 33; Franklin Tetteh, 22; Ansong Steven, 26; and Amos Agbaklah, 25.
They are scheduled to reappear before the court on May 26, 2020.
According to the Police, they were arrested from different locations across the country.
“The Police is by this means imploring the public to continue to volunteer accurate and timely information to assist in the investigation of this crime,” the statement said.
Killing of Mawutor Adzahli
Marcus Mawutor Adzahli was gruesomely murdered in his home on Sunday, March 1, 2020.
According to the eyewitnesses, the assailants, numbering about eight, stormed the victim’s house wielding guns and cement blocks amidst sporadic shooting.
Marcus Adzahli died having sustained gunshot and stab wounds in the attack.
