Rain briefly marred the launch of the Ghana Institute of Journalism’s 60th anniversary on Friday, 1st March 2019.
The event was scheduled to commence at exactly 10am at the forecourt of the school, but for the rain, it has been put on hold without official notice from the organizers.
As workers continued to set up the stage for the ceremony to begin, the clouds opened up and rains came down.
With no sign of stopping soon, the waiting media persons, mostly visual media, wrapped up as the event was on hold.
The programme subsequently came off even though it was rushed as the rains threatened to come down again.
