This year’s edition of the National Science and Maths Quiz is at the quarterfinal stage and the excitement gets bigger and better.
Six out of the nine contests at the stage have already taken place and giants such as Pope John, Prempeh College, St. Peter’s SHS have been kicked out.
Aside the fact that all three are all-male schools, they start with the same letter – P.
This has got some predicting that Accra giants, Presbyterian Boys, Legon, will be the next P school to miss the semi-final.
PRESEC-Legon, which is the most successful school in the history of the competition, is hoping for a sixth trophy.
They advanced to the quarterfinal after defeating Aggrey Memorial and Sunyani SHS at the one-eighth stage.
They won that contest by a landslide – 54 points.
Aggrey Memorial followed with 32points and Sunyani SHS, 27.
On Monday, PRESEC will come up against Ghana National College and Koforidua SHTS.
That will be that last contest at the quarterfinal stage.
