The Ghana Police Service says that it has arrested a woman who drove over the foot of a Police Officer at East Legon Under Bridge in Accra.
The officer is part of the team deployed to ensure that people comply with President Akufo-Addo’s stay home directive.
The name woman who drove over the foot of the officer has been given as Trudy Boatemaa Dako.
She was driving a Hyundai Santafe with registration no. GE 2309-18.
According to the police, Trudy Dako was signaled to stop on reaching the COVID-19 snap check but rather sped off, running over the foot of one the officers.
When approached by another officer, the suspect used abusive words on the officer and all the other security personnel on duty at the check point and threatened to deal with them.
