The Legon Chapter of the Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana (LEGON – GRASAG) has donated relief items to essential service workers at the University.
The Association says that this was in appreciation of the efforts of the workers who are ensuring that the University still runs in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
The students added that the donation is also to cushion and aid the smooth delivery of the services rendered by staff of the University.
Items donated included food stuff, personal protective equipment and hand sanitizers produced by the University of Ghana School of Pharmacy.
The items were delivered to porters in the various residential halls.
Some staff at the various offices that deal with student-related issues such School of Graduate Studies, Office of Dean of Students, Pro Vice-Chancellor Office, Finance Directorate, Audit Unit and Logistics Directorate all benefited from donation.
