The Electoral Commission has debunked claims suggesting that Persol Systems Limited, the company awarded the contract for the construction of the new Production and Disaster Recovery Datacentre for the EC, is owned by the husband of Jean Mensah.
In a press statement to clear the air on the ownership of the company, the EC described reports suggesting that the company was owned by the EC Chairperson as an outrageous lie and thus, should be disregarded.
“This is an outrageous lie since the said company has no link whatsoever to the Chairperson and her husband. We call on the general public to disregard this fabrication and treat it with the contempt it deserves,” a part of the statement reads.
Urging the public to verify stories from the media, the EC called on “well-meaning Ghanaians to verify the ownership of Persol Systems at the Registrar General’s Department.”
