Tamale Senior High School (SHS) has progressed to the next stage of the ongoing 2019 National Science and Maths Quiz competition managing a slim win over their contenders Ada SHS and Kadjebi-Asato SHS.
The closely contested competition saw Tamale SHS take charge in the second round. Though they were ousted in the first round they managed to turn the odds in their favor in the second round.
Speaking exclusively to Univers News, contestants for Tamale SHS recount the pressure of having to partake in the contest saying their cotenders gave them a tough time.
“The adrenaline rush was up when the other schools were getting close. But going forward we will work harder for the next round” – the contestants said.
Tamale was represented by Lawal Sanusi and Rathod B.
Tamale SHS came in to the competition as the seeded school having participated in the 2018 NSMQ quarter finals stage.
On Saturday [July 6], Tamale SHS will contest two other schools in the quarter finals to book a spot in the semifinal stage of the competition.
