Cape-Coast based St. Augustine’s College has ended their 12-year title drought by emerging as winners of the 2019 edition of the National Science and Maths Quiz.
They defeated defending Champions St. Peter’s SHS and five-time winners Presbyterian Boys SHS, Legon.
The contest was keenly contested as it took the final Round, which had four riddles, to determined the winner.
Augusco has ended their 12-year drought.
Out of the four riddles, only one was answered correctly and it was answered by St. Augustine’s College.
Answering that one riddle, helped them gain a 5-point lead ahead of Accra giants Presbyterian Boys.
At the end of the contest, St. Augustine’s College – 39pts, Presbyterian Boys, Legon – 34pts, and St. Peter’s SHS 25pts.
