President Akufo-Addo will tonight, Sunday, December 20, 2020, deliver his 20th national address on measures taken by the government in managing the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
In his last address, which was on Sunday, November 8, he announced an extension in the incentive package for health workers.
Also, he mentioned that all frontline health workers will continue to receive the additional allowance of 50 percent of their basic salary per month, for the months of October, November and December.
During his last address, Ghana’s active cases of the virus stood at 1,139.
As of December 15, Ghana has recorded 53,653 positive cases of the virus.
52,331 of the infected persons have been discharged with 331 succumbing to the disease.
This leaves the country’s active cases at 991
