The Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana over the weekend organized the 38th Annual Technology Exhibition.
The 2018 exhibition was under the theme “Advancing frontiers of science, technology, creativity and innovation through religion to transform our society.
Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo, who gave the welcome address, hinted on the inventions that would be on display during the exhibition.
She further noted that the exhibition was aimed at displaying African technology and innovaton.
“Today as a result of our hard work determination and perseverance we are putting on display a Ghana made special armored car, Amoured Personal Carrier (ACP), three wheeled car, customized luxurious Kantaka limousine, organic pesticide, fertilizers and various kinds of Kantaka vehicle. My vision has always been to use this opportunity as a means of showcasing Africa, knowledge, ideas, competences and skills in furtherance to our transformation and agenda through science, technology and innovation. Africa’s poverty is technology poverty” she said.
The chairman for the exhibition, Vladimir Antwi-Danso who is Dean of Academic Affairs at the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College charged government to take a bold decision to support Kantanka.
“The time is now to take a bold decision on Kantanka cars. Give Kantaka assignments and order him to produce items that will benefits Ghanaians. And I know and I believe he can do” he said.
Asantehen Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, who was also present at the occasion, invited the Apostle to Kumasi on a mission of building a Tech-Teaching Hub.
“Any land space of the Apostle’s desire within the Kumasi environs will be harnessed for the project”, he remarked.
In attendance were thousands of observers from across the country, members of the Kristo Asafo Church, Air Force Marshals, Senior Lecturers of Renowned Public Universities of Ghana, Chiefs and Queens from across the country, Parliamentarians, Senior Minister of State Osafo Marfo, Minister for Science and innovation Dr. Frimpong Boateng and many others.
Apostle Dr. Ing. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka is popularly known as the African Star.
