Senior Hall Tutor of the Akuafo Hall here at the University of Ghana campus, Dr. Von Vodzo has highlighted on the procedures continuing students will have to go through in order to extend their stay on campus after meeting the end of the semester.
He said following complaints from continuing students at the hall over their sacking from their hall immediately after they were done with exams.
Speaking on our morning show Campus Exclusive, Mr. Vodzo advised the students to either comply with the directives and vacate their rooms or go through the right hall procedures if they wished to stay during the vacation.
“Once school is out of session, you can apply to the halls of residence so that you can be considered if there is space” he stated.
Mr. Vodzo further explained that room spaces will be needed for the hall’s impending renovations, hence the need for the students to move out.
“I circulated a notice in my hall that management is embarking on some renovation work and so we will also need the space for people to work on some of the spaces” he noted
Mr. Vodzo reiterated that they are not sacking students without tangible basis but because there are procedures that have to be followed before their stay can be extended.
