Imani Center for Policy and Education has released a video documentary which assesses the first 100 days in office for the new Government.
The video documentary is titled “The first 100 Days: Promises, the Budget, the Story so far”. The video screening event took place at the Alisa Hotel, North Ridge.
The video was aimed towards assessing the progress made by government in key areas of the economy within the first 100 days. The first budget of the new Government was also highlighted in the video.

Addressing the media, and members of the general public, Vice-President of Imani Africa, Kofi Bentil in his welcome address refuted allegations that the assessment of a Government’s first 100 days in office was alien to the Ghanaian political culture.
“Some people have criticized this whole trend of reviewing 100 days and they say things like its not in our culture and there’s no basis for it… but I think for those of us who dabble a bit in management one of the things we say is that, what is not measured cannot be properly managed. It is not about culture or law or anything, it is a way by which we have to assess ourselves as a country and assess our leaders”
According to him, proper management could be only realized when the progress of work is frequently measured.
He mentioned that, there were no legal compulsion for a new government to fulfill all or some of its campaign promises within the first 100 days, but according to him, it will be in the interest of Government to show positive indicators towards fulfillment of its promises in their first 100 days in office.
The Vice-President of Imani Africa, revealed that the purpose of assessment of the new government’s first 100 days was aimed towards refocusing Government not only on their campaign promises but on other areas that are proper.
“We are going to try to refocus the government, not only on its own promises but on the things we deem proper and important”
Experts in the education, energy, governance sectors and other areas shared their opinions on government policies in the video documentary.
