14 more persons have recovered from the coronavirus disease in the country, bringing Ghana’s COVID19 recovery toll to 134.
This was indicated in Ghana Health Service’s Friday afternoon update on the coronavirus situation in the country.
Per GHS’ protocol, persons who test positive of virus are only confirmed to have recovered after testing negative twice after undergoing treatment.
The update showed that the number of people who have died of the disease in the country are now 10.
Meanwhile, Ghana’s case count of the virus has increased from 1,154 to 1,279, indicating an additional 125 confirmed cases.
Also, Oti and Western North Regions have become the latest to record cases.
Whilst the Western North has recorded one case, Oti has 13 cases.
In effect, Ghana has now recorded cases in 12 of its 16 regions.
Other regions that have recorded cases are Eastern (56), Northern (13), Volta (10), Central (9), Upper West (8), Upper East (8), North East (2) and Western (1).
