President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been praised for involving God in the country’s efforts to deal with the spread of novel coronavirus.
According to the Overseer of the Adonai Power Chapel International, Apostle Matthew Eshun, Akufo-Addo’s declaration of Wednesday, March 25, as a national day of fasting and prayer, is a major step in ending the spread in Ghana.
Referencing Mark 9:29 and Isaiah 52:1, Apostle Eshun expressed confidence that the prayers of Ghanaians have been heard and results would soon be seen.
Speaking on Obira Nkabi on Radio Univers, he urged Ghanaians not to speak negatively about religious leaders exhibiting their faith in God to end the global pandemic.
”We the leaders of the church have to stand up and pray for the nation. We stood on Mark 9:29 and Isaiah 52:1 to pray. I know people are down and worried because of this but the bible says all things are possible and believe in God that whatever is established on earth is established in heaven. This is a stepping stone for the nation to combat the fight against the virus.”
Ghana has, as of Thursday, March 26, recorded 132 cases of the novel coronavirus with three deaths and one recovery.
