As part of efforts to appreciate the dedication of its members, the Civil And Local Government Staff Association Ghana (CLOGSAG), has instituted an annual award ceremony for outstanding conduct of members.
This year’s awards ceremony, which was held under the theme “Upholding Integrity in the Public Service”, came off at the CLOGSAG head office, inside the Nathan Quao Auditorium.
Citations and flat screen televisions were presented to some members as awards in honour of their service.
In a speech, President of CLOGSAG, Alhaji Amadu Asibi Azonko, said that the award ceremony was a means of implementing the 1993 PNDC law of the Civil Service which emphasizes on the institution of awards for meritorious performance in the civil service.
“May I draw the attention of the civil service council and the local government service council and the government in particular of an obvious lacuna in the implementation of the civil service law 1993 PNDC law 327 section 1 which says there shall be instituted awards for meritorious performance in the civil service”
