Multimedia’s entertainment presenter Gloria Akpene Nyarku, popularly known as MzGee in the showbiz circles, has been honoured by the Elizabeth Frances Sey Hall of the University of Ghana.
The presenter was a guest speaker for the 2nd edition of the hall’s ‘Girl Talk’ session organised by the leadership of its Women’s Commission.
MzGee joined Berla Mundi and AJ Sarpong, both of EIB for this year’s ‘Girl Talk II’ session.
It was a motivational session for the young ladies of the Elizabeth Frances Sey Hall as each presenter took their turn to speak on their journey to success.
MzGee spoke on ‘Chasing the Dream’ stipulating in her presentation, steps young ladies could follow to achieve their dream. The presentation centred on her journey to pursue broadcasting against all odds.
“Identify your dream, develop the passion for the dream, master the craft, review and improve the above craft” are some pointers she expatiated on during her presentation.
Berla Mundi and AJ Sarpong also motivated the ladies of the hall.
Citations were presented to three media personalities by the leadership of the Women’s Commission in honour of their contributions to the arts and the country as a whole.
MzGee’s citation signed by the women commissioner of the Elizabeth Frances Sey Hall reads;
“Your drive towards achieving set goals is impressive. The odds have been there but you have sailed through easily with your head lifted up high. We acknowledge your willingness to affect lives positively no matter the circumstances. Today we are glad for sharing with us these words to aid us in becoming better people. We are more than grateful and thank you for honouring our invitation.”
