The Junior Common Room (JCR) of the Legon Hall at the University of Ghana has announced the details of the payments of residential fees for level 200 and 3000 residents of the hall.
A statement from the office of the secretary on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, indicated that old residents were to pay an amount of GHC 267 as residential fees and GHC 367 for new residents.
Residents were advised to pay either at the University of Ghana authorized banks i.e. Access Bank, Ecobank, Consolidated Bank Ghana, Ghana Commercial Bank, Republic Bank, etc, or by using the ‘UG Pay’ which can be accessed at the student services section on the university’s website.
The statement also urged new residents to pay an amount of GHC 35 as JCR dues at Cal or Prudential Bank.
Meanwhile, the University is preparing to receive its students who are in the second and third years of their undergraduate programme.
The portal for academic registration has already been opened and they are expected to report on campus between Thursday, September 16, 2021, and Sunday, September 19, 2021.
Ahead of their return, a disinfection exercise has been planned by university authorities to ensure that these students return to a safe environment despite the rise in COVID infections.
