Electricity service provider, Power Distribution Services (PDS) Ghana Limited, has assured that it will supply power uninterruptedly on days that the country will be playing a game in the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
They explain that the decision is to enable Ghanaians watch Black Stars games in the tournament as well as rally their support behind them.
PDS adds that critical maintenance works will be completed on Black Stars matchdays within the shortest time.
“Critical emergency maintenance works on such days will be completed within the shortest possible time,” it said, adding that “management and staff of PDS wish the Black Stars victory,” the company said in a statement.
The Black Stars begin their journey to a fifth continental title.
They play against West African neighbours Benin tonight and are hoping to start the tournament on a good note.
The senior national team are in the same group with defending champions Cameroon, Guinea-Bissau and Benin.
President Akufo-Addo has arrived in Egypt to watch the Black Stars’ opening The Squirrels.
The game is scheduled to kickoff at 8pm at Ismailia Sports Stadium
