Management of the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) has offered admission to over 150 students applied to undertake its Undergraduate degree programme for the 2019/2020 academic year.
The number of successful applicants is expected to increase in the coming days as the West Africa Examination Council is yet to release the results of persons who sat for this year’s West Africa Senior Certificate Examination.
School management have already posted the list of the successful applicants on the school’s notice board.
Per the list, the applicants offered admission thus far, totaling 170, opted for Journalism.
List of successful applicants who chose the Public Relations option is yet to be released.
Applicants who have been offered admission are to confirm their acceptance by making payment of the provisional academic user fee of GH¢2,400.00 and SRC dues of GH¢90.
Payments are to be made by August 30, 2019.
The provisional fees for new entrants are same as what was charged 2018/2019 fresh students.
The online portal for students to confirm their admission will be opened from 12th to 30th August, 2019.
In a message sent to successful applicants, University Management cautioned that fees paid were not refundable.
