The Blackstar International Film Festival by popular request has extended the submissions of films for another month. The extension is to allow filmmakers who could not submit their films before the close of the original deadline date of [March 31, 2019] to do so.
However, late submissions come with a fee of GHS50 to Ghanaian filmmakers. The deadline for late submissions is slated on [April 30, 2019].
All kind of films including, feature films, short films, documentary, and animation can be submitted throughhttp://www.filmfreeway.com/bsiff.
Moreover, all films that will be submitted must be premiering for the first time in Ghana during the 2019 edition of the Blackstar International Film Festival.
The Blackstar International Film Festival is an annual festival which is focused on the business of film and dedicated to creating global connections through film and bridging the gap between African cinema and the World. It is by this that the Founding President, Juliet Asante states that
“Ghana is a critical voice in the region. We continue to impact the industry in very interesting ways. The festival will serve as a rallying point to connect the dots.”
This year’s festival is set to kick-start in the fourth week of August.
