The breast cancer awareness month seems to have taken much heels of ignition than anticipated.
October was laid to nurse the fight of breast cancer and also educate not only women but also men on the very meaningful ways to address the disease.
Jean Nelson Aka Hall of the University of Ghana fields in same concepts in collaboration with Ghana eSports Association and the SRC in the organization of the breast cancer campaign at their hall week.
The event is slated for Thursday, October 25 at the premises of the hall encompassing health professionals and a health screening agency.
Interacting with the President of University eSports Association Mr. Joshua Worship Frimpong, he noted that the reason for the initiative is to help deracinate the disease from our domain.
“Breast cancer is not a disease that we as Ghanaians should entertain. As a matter of fact, many people reckon ladies to be the only victims of the disease revealing that even before we can win the course much education is needed. We are ready to help the health agencies the best way we can to show the disease our country borders”. He said
He also shed more light on why Ghana eSports Association, a gaming company decided to lead the raid.
“Ghana eSports Association has the society at heart and it’s not just a gaming association, just to clear thoughts. That’s our main priority as a gaming association nonetheless we have always taken it upon ourselves to aid the course of society. We host other programs aside games, like the breast cancer we organizing and so the focus is to emanate new thoughts in the mind of the masses that irrespective of your work code the society comes first”.
Side attractions of the ardent event is the “Girl game session” where ladies will be engaged in series of games like FIFA, street fighter, Need for speed et al and other photoshoot session for the ladies.
The event is open to the public.
