A seven-member jury of the Secondi High Court has today, March 5, 2021 sentenced to death the two suspects involved in the kidnapping and murder of the four missing Takoradi girls.
The suspects, Samuel Udeotuk Wills and John Oji were charged for kidnapping and murdering Ruth Abakah, 19, 21-year-old Priscilla Blessing Bentum, Ruth Love Quayson,18 and 15-year-old Priscilla Koranchie
Delivering the judgement, Justice Richard Adjei-Frimpong gave the suspects 30 days to appeal the judgement if they choose to do so.
Meanwhile, families of the girls are still in denial of the death of their daughters.
While they expect the country’s justice system to do more on the case, they think the current ruling does not serve them enough justice and satisfaction.
“If it is true that the girls are dead; they would show themselves to us spiritually but till now nothing so we know they are alive,” a family member said.
