The University of Ghana has hinted on plans to name the enterprise hub in its newly inaugurated West African Center for Crop Improvement (WACCI) Multipurpose Building after the University’s Former Chancellor Kofi Annan.
In a tweet spotted by UniversNews, the Founding Director of WACCI, University of Ghana Chapter, Prof. Eric Danquah said the move was aimed at immortalizing the memory of the late Kofi Annan
Hints of this development sparked up at the inauguration of the WACCI multipurpose building on Friday 24, 2018 at the University of Ghana, where the Minister for Finance, Ken Ofori Atta suggested that the Enterprise hub is named after the Former Chancellor of the University of Ghana’s Kofi Annan.
“The issue of making the enterprise hub I suspect in my mind as a private sector person we should maybe name it: the Kofi Annan Enterprise Hub. Not only is it appropriate for what he has done but it certainly a great marketing tool and then we immortalize his name. I think we should think through it. After all he was Chancellor of the university” he said.
