Over 400,000 students are set to enter Senior High Schools across the country under the double track system, the Ghana Education Service has revealed.
The new double intake system will have a “GREEN TRACK”, students who will be expected to enroll on September 11, 2018, and the “GOLD TRACK” cohort set to begin on November 8th, 2018.
In statements by the GES, expectant candidates are encouraged to visit the website of the Computerized School Selection and Placement Systems website, www.cssps.gov.gh, to know their placement status. The GES further added that the portal for placement on their website is still open to candidates who have not yet been placed.
According to the Ghana Education Service, of the 521,710 registered candidates, 490,514 of them qualified to be placed the statement added that 423,134 were automatically placed while 67,382 could not be matched with the schools they selected.

The double track system, an initiative intended to absorb the huge numbers of JHS graduates, which will be rolled out in some 400 schools across Ghana has elicited a lot of heated debate over its feasibility and need and thus its interest in the first year of implementation remains high.
