Kwame University of Science and Technology has released the provisional list of undergraduate applicants admitted to pursue its varied programs for the 2019/2020 academic year.
The list include those who applied to undertake its Distant Education Programs.
It is anticipated that over 16,000 students are expected to be admitted into postgraduate and undergraduate levels from over 40,000 applications.
All admitted students are expected to arrive on the main Kumasi campus of KNUST to begin the necessary registration processes for the academic year.
Fresh students are expected to arrive on Friday, September 6 with lectures beginning on Monday, September 9, 2019.
Matriculation for fresh students is scheduled for Thursday October 3 to Saturday October 5, 2019
KNUST Admission Statistics for 2018/2019 Academic Year.
The University received a total of 43, 667 applications for the 2018 admissions, and out of this 36,818 met the entry requirement. 16,888 students were registered into postgraduate and undergraduate levels made up of 10,171 males and 6,717 females.
KNUST recorded a significant increase in the female student population from 37% in 2017 to 40.59% in the 2018 admissions. This is an achievement the Vice-Chancellor Professor Kwasi Obiri-Danso and the university management believes is an indication of efforts to boost female education in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
