Things are not getting any better for the Ghana Institute of Journalism as they have suffered another defeat in men’s football.
The story is not any different for their Greater Accra fellows, Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
GIMPA, following their 4-0 defeat to the University of Cape Coast, has now conceded 15 goals without having any to their credit.
In their opening game against host school, University of Ghana, they were outplayed, leaving UG to carry the day with 3points.
Team GIMPA put up a more disappointing performance in their game two with University of Energy and Natural Resources handing them a 8-0 defeat.
For the Ghana Institute of Journalism, they lost two of their three games in a penalty shootout – against University of Health and Allied Sciences and University of Mines and Technology.
For their third game which was against the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, the boys in blue were unable to stop their opponent.
They lost that particular game 5-1.
As things stand now, GIJ has two points, with GIMPA yet to have one.
GIJ’s SRC Sports Secretary, Benoni Teye, has told Univers TV that he is confident that his colleagues will bounce back in the ongoing Ghana Universities Sports Association (GUSA) Games.
These two schools are making their first appearance in the Ghana Universities Sports Association (GUSA) Games.
