Voting has commenced for the song contest against child labour organised by the European Union Delegation in Ghana in collaboration with the Ghana Employment and Social Protection Programme (GESP).
The song contest launched in August, 2020 saw several musicians and bands in Ghana file entries but only 26 shortlisted applicants were selected by the jury.
The general public is entreated to participate via the link https://poll.app.do/song-against-child-labour-competition.
Deadline for voting is October 19, 2020.
The shortlisted musicians and bands for the anti-child labour music contest include Wumuye, Halo Sparrow, Afri Danish Band, Alfred Karfa, Ali Ruby, Gideon Djan Oppong, John Anyan, Tsemi, Alien Beats, Asah Music, Chriskid, John Banafoe, Kingslaw Arthur, Koffi Apex, Kpodo & Kwame, Wilfred & Ayilla, Yoofi Biney, Dzidzorm Gh, Fladdy Djan, Phronesis GH, Ratty Ghana, Note6 Official, Eli Six30, Dark Suburb, Samson Bannar, Achiaa and John Banafoe.
Winner of the contest will have their song used as the official campaign song of the GESP campaign against child labour; as well as receive musical equipment and Professional recording of the official song and of the song submitted to the competition.
The first runner, second and third runner ups will also receive from GESP equipment related to music activities and also enjoy a professional recording of the song submitted into the contest.
