Over the weekend, the nations biggest telecommunications network, MTN Ghana, held it annual worship event, the MTN Stand in Worship concert at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair.
This year’s concert was headlined by South African musician Patrick Duncan, who is known for the famous track – ‘Phind’ ukhulume.’
Indeed, the about 15,000 seat capacity dome was charged with the Holy Ghost as performances from the legendary Yaw Sarpong and popular gospel stars Joe Mettle, Eugene Zuta and Obappa Christy couldn’t keep the gathered Christians remained in their seats.
Unfortunately, despite the hype given the program this year, it appeared that the publicity of the program didn’t go very well as a significant part of the Dome was empty.
On would have expected that an event, organized by the biggest telecommunications network provider in the country, would attract numbers as high as its subscribers but even after the media tour undertaken by the company to promote the event, the numbers were quite discouraging.
This was first time the event was brought to the Fatansy Dome. It was first organized in 2013.
