Alexander Adum Kwapong holds the second gospel rock show among the four diaspora halls here in the University of Ghana to set the pace for this year’s Hall Week celebration dubbed Activity 8.1.
The Gospel rock show which was christened “Lex Praiz” saw performances from Pastor Isaiah Kwakye Jnr., Akesse Brempong, Niella and a host of other high profiled ministers of the gospel.
The event is the first among a host of other thrilling activities organizers of the hall have planned to roll out in a bid to ensure that patrons particularly residents of Kwapong Hall enjoy a time of their life.
According to the Junior Common Room (JCR) president of the hall, the Gospel Rock show which though he cannot judge as the best, the massive turn out showcased willingness on the part of residents and the general university community to fully partake in this year’s pool of activities lined up.
“For this one in particular, I was really happy about the turn out because it means people are looking forward to something about Activity 8.1…. I wouldn’t want to do a ranking or anything but I still feel we got the people to come and what we wanted them to come and do”
He however stressed that JCR executives of Kwapong Hall are resolute that this year’s hall week celebration will be outstanding as compared to previous ones looking at the kind of activities lined up and the readiness on the part of students to participate in them.
He promised patrons to expect nothing but a week celebration which will set the standard for the rest of the halls follow.
“You should expect greatness. The whole idea of Activity 8.1 was to bring out something new, something different, to bring out something that will not only be a one off thing, but actually be a pacesetter, a trendsetter…. Expect more from Kwapong Hall, because we are really coming on. By the end of this semester, you’d actually understand why we say Kwapong has come up”
He was speaking in an exclusive interview with Univers News after the gospel rock show.
