Past volunteers of Radio Univers 105.7FM have expressed their excitement ahead of tonight’s birthday conversation with station manager, Dr. (Alhaji) Abubakari Sidick Ahmed.
The conversation, which is being organized by current volunteers of the station, is to celebrate the birthday of Dr. Abubakari S. Ahmed who turns a year older today, June 4, for his tutelage.
Dubbed, “A birthday conversation with Alhaji”, the interview will be live on Radio Univers 105.7 FM at 6pm and will be hosted by celebrated Ghanaian Journalist, Bernard Avle.
Bernard Avle, who is the 2018 GJA Journalist of the Year, is among the great exports of the station. Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi (Bola Ray), DJ Black, Shamima Muslim are a few others who also passed through the station.
In series of videos from the past volunteers, they recounted how Dr. Abubakari S. Ahmed was selfless in training them to become fit for the media space.
One of them, Ernest Manu, who is currently with Accra-based Joy News, in a video, mentioned that “Alhaji does not only take interest in your professional development, but privately when he needs to. I can recount the countless times he had to step in for one or two things, Ernest Manu said.
Former Campus Exclusive host on Radio Univers, Caleb Kudah, who is presently with Citi FM/TV recalled how it was a joy working with him.
“When we were having campus exclusive, Alhaji could come and join the discussion and it made us feel good. He was such a mentor. It’s been a complete joy being under the tutelage of Alhaji,” Caleb Kudah said.
Starr FM’s Naa Dedei Tettey, in a video, entreated Ghanaians not to miss out on the conversation with Alhaji Abubakari Sidick Ahmed.
